American Electric 13-000 Vintage Cobra Head Street Light
American Electric 13-000 Vintage Cobra Head Street Light. This street light is used. It was working when removed from service. This fixture has a 240v 250w mercury vapor ballast. It will not work on 120v. The fixture may be dirty or have spiders/bugs inside. I left it as is so the future owner can decide what to do with it. Overall it's in pretty good condition. The terminal block appears to have broken off the bracket. This will require some repair. The glass is original American Electric glass however it does have a bullet/BB gun hole. There may be some minor chips as well. It's decent considering. The usual corrosion/ rust is present. The latch seems to have a hard time engaging. Thank you for your interest in my listing. Measures about 11" front to back, about 10" top to bottom, and around 8 across. Weighs nearly 9.5 lbs. Cosmetically great shape for its age and intended use. Westinghouse OV-25 Silverliner Cobra Head Street Light #2. This street light is used and has not been tested. It should be considered a project fixture. The ballast and gear inside are not original. They may work however it is likely they do not work. The reflector is missing the clip that attaches the reflector to the front door latch, so the reflector is in there loosely. A clip of some sort will need to be fabricated to rivet or screw to the reflector to hold it in place. The gasket is crumbling due to age. The fixture has dried bird droppings on it. There may be scuffs/ scratches noticed due to the age of the fixture however it is not in bad cosmetic shape considering the age of it. The photos should show what is needed to see the fixtures condition however if more photos are needed please ask.
